W.F.P. has suggested Pendleton come to Bryn Athyn for a while to join Miss Beekman in her work. Pendleton does not like the idea of being away from his family, but he writes, “I take it that a man should do what he can, especially in a work of such surpassing importance as I conceive Miss Beekman’s work to be.” He agrees to spend the month of August working with Beekman in Bryn Athyn.
